On to a new year

And another year comes to an end.  I don't know about you, but I don't want to look back on 2009.   It's been a year that went by way too fast.  Memorable, but way too fast.   It's been a year that required a lot of serious decisions.  It's been a year full of surprises, of sadness and of happiness.  It's been a year of quite the realizations, the ups, and the downs.  For some, that's just how every year goes by.  It's been the first time that the year passed by me in such manner.

2010 promises already to be quite interesting and very much unlike any other year I've lived through.  I am looking forward to tackle it all, but I am also saddened and somewhat frightened by what's to come.  Knowing what's going to hit me though, and knowing myself, I will take on the challenges and will be just fine.

I am not one of those who feel it necessary to inflict "New-Year's-Resolutions" on oneself;   I leave that to others.   However, I never grow tired of listening to the promise people make to themselves.  Do you have any New Year's Resolutions?

My dear family members, friends, and otherwise loyal readers, I hope you have enjoyed a wonderful and memorable 2009 and that you are looking forward to an even better 2010.  I raise my glass to you fine people and say: "Happy New Year !!! "  May it be all you need it to be and all you want it to be.  Tons of hugs and kisses and all that fun stuff !!

  1. Ah yes, on to 2010... and no matter what the number is on that year, if you are a part of it, it cannot help but to be a very good year... 2009 had too many funerals for me, so for that, I will not miss '09... But every year brings promise, hope and new opportunities... and yes, I see you embracing them all, as of course you would. Thank you, once again, for being a part of my life, and making my life so much richer... take care, and may 2010 be all that you want, and more...

  3. Hi Liane, Happy New Year!!!! I've missed your little ole smiling face, and cool writing. Most of my years are full of up's and downs, and I also have no New Years resolutions.....:) I wish you luck with your college, and hope you have a prosperous 2010. I have missed you, my friend. Shawn

  4. I finally closed the blog.

Thank you for having visited and thank you for your insightful comments.

    Have a Great New Year

  5. I know what you mean... I'm so glad its over so we all can be on to bigger and better things...

It was a stressful year and thats relief you hear from me now..

hope you have a wonderful start to yours..

  6. I am grateful to see 2009 come to a close. It's not a year I care to relive, but I truly fear 2010 will make 2009 look like a cake walk.... I am tired. Very tired as this year takes it's leave of us. I keep wondering if the guardian angel that sits on my shoulder will also be tired... if she/he... will help me find the resources to muddle through... or if he/she will once again surprise me and help me once again be the bubbly and happy go lucky person I recall once being.

I appreciate all of lifes challanges.... but I sure could use a break from them... and the stress that bootstraps itself onto the recent challanges...

Now that I've been all merry and stuff... I'll meander back to my space... which I am currently reserving for my own private use... to be re-opened... at a new location soon...

  7. My resolution is not to make anymore resolutions.

That way I know I'll keep it!
